The Invisible Agent, released in 1942, is the fourth in the Invisible Man series, and acts as a sort of sequel to the original two films. This film being released in 1942 during World War 2 was a war propaganda film, to try to rally support for the war against Nazi Germany. The film portrayed Nazis as bumbling bafoons, who committed terrible atrocities. The film isn't bad by any means and features film icon Peter Lori, as well as he beautiful Ilona Massey, and horror film legend Sir Cedric Hardwicke, and Jon Hall who would go on to play the Invisible Man again in the Invisible Man's Revenge. The cast is all really well done, and portrayed their characters wonderfully. The film's biggest flaw is that it is a piece of blatant war propaganda, though that also does mark it as a piece of film history and a product of its time. The film has many well done special effects tricks that adds to the original film. I will say though that this is my least favourite film in the Invisible Man series, though it is still a great film. This film does have some of the trademark comedy found throughout the series, but overall as a film it is just okay, and not a strong film. Would I recommend this film? Yes, it is by far not a bad movie, and definitely worth watching, not exactly a must see, or one that you really need to seek out at all, but if you get a chance I would recommend watching it. Again not a great film, but also definitely not a bad one, and worth watching.
