In 2004 George Romero's classic sequel to Night Of The Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead. The remake did not involve George Romero, but was merely inspired by his classic movie. The movie starts off with a nurse working late at the hospital, and we here about a patient that was bitten during a bar fight, but nothing big is made about this. The next morning her and her husband wake up to the neighbor girl in their bedroom trying to bite them. Her husband gets bitten and turned into a zombie and she fleeds the house to get away from him. She meets a cop, and three other survivors and they all decide to take refuge in the in the Mall. Here the group meets thee security guards who have claimed the mall as theirs, but our heroes stage a coup and remove the security guards from power. Soon their group grows as more survivors join our heroes in taking refuge in the mall. This movie is about a small group of survivors fighting to survive the zombie apocalypse, and it is filled with a lot of action and gory special effects. The nice thing about this movie is that most of the special effects are practical, and really do look good. The characters all play their parts really well, and you hate the ones you should and feel a connection to the ones you should. The movie looks good, and has the right amount of gore to make a good zombie horror movie. This movie is completely unnecessary, the original is one of the great classic zombie movies and still loved and adored by fans. One of my biggest complaints about this movie is that the zombies are now stronger and faster than they were when they were alive, which doesn't make sense, a dead person should be slow moving because their body is dead and they are rotting. I mean there is really nothing amazing about this movie, it is just ok, maybe even pretty good, but honestly skip it and just watch the original, there is no point of this movie needing to exist. Would I recommend this movie? Honestly probably not, I would ecourage the viewer to find a copy of the original and view that instead. Again it isn't that this movie is bad, it is just completely unnecessary. I mean, I guess watch it, it's a fun zombie movie, but there are much better out there to choose from.

This is a terrible remake of one of the best movies of all time. I have lost count of how many times I watched the original 1978 George A Romero version but only watched this crap once.
