Critters, released in 1986 is a comedic horror movie about these cute little furballs from outer space called Crites. Well these little furballs are not so cute, and will eat anything they can get the teeth filled mouths on. They come to earth to a small town in Kansas. In addition to the Crites there are two other aliens who've come to earth to hunt for the Crites. But can the inhabitants of this small farm town stop them before they eat everything? This movie is amazing for what it is, which is a great comedic creature feature. It never takes itself too seriously, and is a lot of fun. The characters are all well cast, and the actors play their parts well. I really have always loved pretty much everything about this movie ever since I saw it as a kid. It is fun, it is silly, with just the right amount of gore added in for the gross out effect. One critic said about this movie, that it looks like it was made by people who had fun making it, and I like that. I put this movie into the same category as Killer Klowns From Outer Space, as in that it is a fun movie made by people who made a movie that seemed like it was fun to make. Critters is definitely worth watching. Would I recommend this movie? Yes, absolutely. I mean I love this type of cheesy 80's horror movie, I think that they are amazing, and I think everyone should give this classic view. It is just fun, and a good time, but still has great horror elements.
